TRIP # 1

Pre trip

Your flight destination is Whitehorse, Yukon - Canada. There are two options.

Option # 1

You fly directly to Whitehorse and arrive one day prior to the first day of your trip start. In this case we pick you up at the Whitehorse airport and transfer you to our partner hotel in Whitehorse. Accommodations have been arranged for you. The next morning we pick you up from the hotel lobby and drive you to our float plane base.

Option # 2

You arrive in Whitehorse - before noon - on the day of your first trip day via an overnight stay in Vancouver, British Columbia - Canada. If your travel itinerary requires you to spend a night in Vancouver, before continuing on to your Whitehorse flight the very next morning, we have arranged for your transfer from the Vancouver international airport to our partner hotel, The Pacific Palisades. Here you will spend the night in one of our pre-booked "King Suites". Enjoy a relaxing evening at Vancouver's "greenest" luxury hotel.

Day one

You will be picked up mid morning from the lobby of our local partner hotel in Whitehorse or the airport in Whitehorse and you will be driven to our floatplane base where you depart on our private charter plane ( DHC-3 Otter on floats) to our Resort .This spectacular flight will take you over awe inspiring landscape of the wild Yukon. Once you arrive at the lake shore destination, you will meet up with departing guests from the previous tour while enjoying a extraordinary outdoor brunch on our remote shoreline. Your luggage and gear will be professionally packed away onto our horse carriage. Once everything is packed and ready to go our lead guide will team you up with your carriage and you will be taken on a short but very impressive ride to "tent city". Sit back and enjoy the ride. Upon arriving, there will be afternoon coffee and tea accompanied by fresh baked treats waiting for you. Your luggage will be unpacked and brought to your tent. You will then have some time to take in the scenery and just relax. Any needs you have will be taken care of. Dinner will be served in the restaurant tent at around 8.00 pm. Sit back and be prepared to be dazzled by our international Chef. You won't believe what is possible out in the "bush". After dinner, sit back and enjoy the midnight sun. Once you decide to retire for the night, keep in mind that our entire resort is surrounded by a small, but very effective electric fence. Also, for your added piece of mind we have placed one of our very experienced guardians on an all night watch. He or she will make sure that our camp fire keeps burning and if you so wish, will very quietly start your wood burning stove in the morning in your room so that when you awake, it will be to the smell and warmth of your own personal roaring fire. With the help of our two trained dogs, Klondike & Teslin , they will also keep all unwanted visitors far outside our camp boundaries.Even though we have never had to revert to an armed confrontation with any of the local wildlife, our night guardians are ready and prepared to keep you ultimately safe.

Knowing that,
you can now sleep peacefully under the stars.

Day two

After a deep and restful sleep in our open roofed organic canvass teepee tents you will have woken up to the peace and serenity of Mother Earth. No generators, no electric machines, no artificial noise, just peaceful bliss. Our breakfast will be served between 7.00 am and 9.00 am at your leisure. This is not your ordinary camp breakfast. Have a look at what our international chef has in store. Check out our full three day menu. Once everyone is done with breakfast you can enjoy the day all to yourself, mingling around camp with other guests or chatting with some of our staff. Take time to yourself and read a book or get a personal massage in our massage tent. Go for a short (or long) stroll around camp. Do whatever it is you feel like doing. You are close to heaven here - embrace it!

Another option is one of our pre planned day trips. After breakfast, two choices are available. You can go on a horseback day trip and let your great and very calm horse do most of the walking. Or you can join the excursion that will propel themselves with their own two legs. Either option will bring you into some of the most spectacular scenery on this planet. Both excursions will meet for another spectacular lunch out in the wide open alpine mountainside. This will be a full lunch with your choice of wine, beer or crystal clear mountain water. After a nice relaxing break both groups will go out on their separate trails and meet up in the early evening back in tent city. DO NOT FORGET to bring your cameras with you. You will want to take plenty of pictures. You will see all kinds of spectacular wild life, from Dall Sheep to Caribou, possibly some Moose, and of course the almighty Grizzly Bear. Again, rest assured that all of our professionally trained guides will be there for your safety and comfort. All you should think about is how much film or digital space you have left on your camera!
Once back in camp, have a hot shower (heated up by 100% solar energy), put on some comfy evening clothes and take in the midnight sun show. Maybe it's time for your massage - yes...another one!

Day three

On your third full day in tent city the morning routine is the same as the day before. Trust us, you'll be looking forward to it very much. Have a second cup of exclusive organic blue mountain espresso or a cup of organic loose green sencha tea. Enjoy your morning! After breakfast you will again have the option of spending the day doing nothing but pampering yourself or joining one of the two excursion groups. This time they will be wandering a bit further out and each having their own lunch . There is so much to be seen and experienced that the day will literally just "fly by". After your return to tent city, you will have time to freshen up again and then be treated to a exquisite rustic buffet by the fire. Exchange stories of the day or listen to some of the stories of our guides. After dinner it's time for some entertainment. Due to our intimate connections to the international music scene, Perfect Earth Tours is able to bring you very rare specialty performances from internationally acclaimed singers/song writers. Due to the nature of our location we aren't able to disclose ahead of time who will be performing on what evening. Suffice to say, you will be impressed and take home the memory of a lifetime!

Day four

Well, that's it. Wake up at your leisure, enjoy breakfast and slowly get ready for your return ride to our resort base camp . Again, all of your luggage will be stored away and transported with our horse carriage to our lake where afternoon brunch is awaiting you. After a short carriage ride to departure bay it will be time to start listening for the plane - the plane that will bring in a new group of guests and will take you back, having experienced something that other spa resorts and eco adventure organizations have said is too costly and cumbersome for them - a horseback wilderness eco spa resort adventure the way it is meant to be experienced. In the true sense of the word eco (ecologically sensitive) adventure. Your holiday will not only have inspired you with a new and greater appreciation for what our planet still has to offer, but you will have done so with the full knowledge that your ecological footprint was almost non existent. Everything in our camp - from organic linen to hemp napkins, from local organic food to local organic beverages, from organic cotton tents to organic hemp clothing and from solar energy to energy conservation - will have helped to ensure that all of us have done our part (we of course admit that luxury was right up there with everything else...lol) to ensure that we can go home with a clear conscience and the knowledge that we left things just as they were 1000's of years ago. After the flight back from our lake to Whitehorse, we will pick you up and drive you back to your hotel, where you then can decide to either spend another night in Whitehorse or transfer directly to Vancouver and spend a night there at our partner hotel. Oh, by the way - all of our vehicles are powered with local bio-diesel.

The true meaning of life

" We are visitors on this planet. We are here for ninety or one hundred years at the very most. During this period, we must try to do something good, something useful, with our lives. If you contribute to other people's happiness, you will find the true goal, the true meaning of life."

H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama
